2024
The customer of our partner MiniFactory had been seeking a filament with exceptional temperature resistance, capable of withstanding up to 180 °C, while also maintaining excellent mechanical properties. The filament was intended for the production of an air duct for an automotive defense vehicle, where both durability and high performance under demanding operational conditions were critical.
Based on our criteria, while our PA 6.66 CF could only withstand up to 150 °C, we developed the PA 11 CF filament, which has a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 180 °C. This filament not only meets the higher temperature requirement but is also dimensionally stable, exhibits low moisture uptake, and has an excellent ductility in the Z- direction.
"KRATIR PA11CF enabled the possibility of producing large parts for specific engineering applications. Thanks to the consistency of the filament, the production is reliable and repeatable, which is key for us and our customers using miniFactory technology."
