A custom exhaust adapter was needed to connect a 100mm hose to a 75mm outlet in an industrial setup. However, no standard component met the required specifications. The part had to be engineered to endure continuous mechanical stress, maintain dimensional accuracy, and provide long-term durability under demanding operating conditions, making traditional sourcing and manufacturing both challenging and costly.

Using PET-CF filament, we produced a strong, dimensionally accurate adapter that met all functional requirements. The material’s strength and stability provided the reliability needed in this application, while eliminating the cost and lead time of outsourcing custom manufacturing.
