Problem

A custom robot arm component with integrated air channels was needed to eject plastic injection molded parts using air pressure; however, the precise dimensional requirements could not be met with standard components, and previous aluminum machining solutions proved too costly and time-consuming.

Solution

By switching to 3D printing with PET-CF, we were able to produce the part quickly, at a fraction of the cost. The printed component achieved a weight reduction and a price reduction - approximately 90% lower than aluminum machining costs—while maintaining the required functionality.

"As a customer, I was impressed by how 3D printing in PET-CF enabled us to replace a custom aluminum part with a much lighter, significantly more affordable solution, without compromising on performance."
